Jeffrey Berkowitz MD
Jeffrey Berkowitz MD enjoys all aspects of pediatrics
With an interest in medicine and a passion for working with children, becoming a pediatrician made sense to Jeffrey Berkowitz MD. “I’ve always enjoyed working with kids. I spent many summers working as a camp counselor and I decided to go into pediatrics to make an even larger impact on the lives of children. You can make a difference with kids that you can’t necessarily make with adults. Kids will change their behavior and it becomes a lifelong change for the better.”
Although the Plano pediatrician loves every aspect of pediatrics, Jeffrey Berkowitz MD especially enjoys working with preemies and newborns to help them transition from the NICU to everyday life. “My oldest daughter was a preemie, so I understand preemie care from the perspective of both a pediatrician and a parent. I care for preemies who were born as early as 25 weeks.”
